The new generation Audio-Video series is not an evolution of its predecessors - it is a completely new approach to the design and sound of this line. Audio-Video has been a leader in its price group for years, in terms of fine design and sound offered in affordable prices.
The style, materials and sound quality of the next Audio-Video generation further strengthen its position as a leader in this segment and far beyond.

The TAV-500B v.2 passive technology is based on the TAV-B, one of the biggest and the most powerful bookshelf speaker in the series. The drivers are precision-tuned for the built-in amplifier.
The TAV-500B v.2 is available in four stylish finishes: Black, Modern Wenge, Oak, Walnut and White.

When designing the TAV-500B v.2 our objective was to create an eye-catching speaker with a great sound, which would be offered in the budget price which is a hallmark of the Audio-Video series.  As always we mostly focused on intensive listening tests and sound adjustments rather than on creating perfect specifications on paper because music and generally sound is about emotions, feelings and passion.  The final outcome resulted in the speaker which offers deep, perfectly controlled and defined bass, smooth and rich midrange and appealing, detailed and crystal clear highs as well as very an open and airy soundstage.

KEY FEATURES

PASSIVE SECTION

2nd generation TLIE-I enclosure (Taga Low Interference Enclosures) – which uses more rigid structure and thicker 18 mm front MDF baffle wall to limit unwanted resonances.

New high-quality enclosure damping material to better break up the standing waves, lower resonances and limit distortions what improves the smoothness and characteristics of sound in all ranges.

TAGA Harmony new logo badge placed on cabinet front panel - shows our strive and passion for perfect harmony of sound performance.

Upgraded 1” (25 mm) silk dome high-frequency driver with oversized Φ70 magnet, ferrofluid cooling and heavy duty copper voice coil can handle high power and its performance is very accurate, clear, smooth, detailed and airy sound.

2nd generation TWG-I tweeter faceplate  (Taga WaveGuide) - specialized horn-like design of the tweeter's faceplate utilizing concave diffusers assists with equal and flat dispersion of sound in and off the axis of the driver. In the newest edition the shape and depth have been redesigned to allow better flow of sound stream and even wider dispersion which helps to build a more three-dimensional and natural soundstage. Minimizing the number of components means better structural rigidity, lower distortions and resonances.

Upgraded 6.5” (165 mm) woofer driver - ultra-light polypropylene cone with elastic rubber suspension, Φ80 magnet structure, heavy duty voice coil and coil former copped with more rigid driver chassis are built to withstand higher power handling and longer operation time without increasing driver temperature and in result to generate deeper, more musical and precise bass response. The flat dust cap supports air flow and smoothens the frequency response.

High-velocity rear slotted port – provides unstrained flow of air enhancing the reproduction of the lowest frequencies generated by the bass-midrange driver.

The steep enclosure top is leaned at around 4 degrees from the front to the rear to further limit unwanted resonances and turbulences.

ACTIVE SECTION
Class-D amplification delivers 40W RMS per channel. The amplifier is powered by high-current 24V 4A power supply, ensuring efficient power delivery and minimal distortion for pristine sound reproduction.

USB input with charging - to quickly and easily play music from a USB flash drive (supports APE, FLAC, MP3 and WAV files) as well as to charge your mobile devices.

Bluetooth® - seamlessly connect your devices for wirelessly stream music from smartphones, tablets or computers.

Analog input - quickly connect external analog audio devices (Network/CD players, smartphones, etc.).

Digital Optical input - to connect a range of digital audio devices (CD/DVD/Blu-ray player, video game console etc.).

Subwoofer output – to provide extra amount of deep bass by adding an active subwoofer to the system.

Treble / Bass control - to perfectly adjust the sound to your preferences.

LED display.

Remote controller with full functionality.

The TAV-500B v.2 is a fusion of elegance and audio prowess. It stands out with detailed and rich sound produced by our silk dome tweeter, open and natural midrange performance and deep and lifelike bass generated by a 6.5 inch mid-woofer, all perfectly driven by the precisely-matched amplifier.

CABINET
TLIE-I – The 2nd generation of Taga Low Interference Enclosures is made of high-quality, high-density MDF boards (12 mm walls and 18 mm for the front baffle) to increase stiffness and limit any unwanted resonances.

The shapes are perfectly crafted not only to look wonderful and modern but mainly to lower any unwanted vibrations, diffractions or turbulences, which can affect the sound performance.

New high-end enclosure damping material is used to better break up the standing waves, lower resonances and limit distortions what improves the smoothness and characteristics of sound in all ranges.

The steep enclosure top is leaned at around 4 degrees from the front to the rear to further limit unwanted resonances and turbulences.

Carefully selected high quality vinyl finishes are very durable, elegant, imitate natural wood texture and are very pleasant in touch. The vinyl finishes are neatly applied to cabinets using precise machinery to provide the best looks.
