The TAV-616F SE speaker is based on the technology of TAV-616F and TAV-606 SE with a couple of significant upgrades to provide the best hi-fi sound in this price segment and often even much beyond.
TLIE (Taga Low Interference Enclosure) – a very rigid, neutral to vibrations and colorization enclosure. It is built of thick (15mm walls plus 21mm thick front panel) high-density MDF boards. The TAV-616F SE is available in luxurious 7-layer high gloss white painting, while most competitors in this price range offer PVC laminate which imitates high gloss paint or they paint only selected parts of speaker enclosure.
The 2nd generation TPTTD-I (Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome) utilizes a differently shaped and lighter titanium dome as well as a double-magnet structure – it has a higher SPL, faster and more accurate movement of the dome reflecting in more detailed and airy sound.
6.5” glass fiber midrange driver delivers more information with even greater accuracy and definition.
2 x 6.5 polypropylene woofer drivers are very light and have high SPL which results in faster, more accurate cone movement to quickly react to changes in dynamic sound passages
Decorative pure aluminum trim rings and tweeter faceplate (TPAF) to enhance sound dispersion
High-End binding posts, internal OFC wires the same as in the high-end CORAL series.
Bassreflex port and terminal box are rubber coated.
Elegant, black aluminum spikes and Special Edition logo badge underline unique character of the speakers.
The TAV-616F SE is probably the best hi-fi speaker in this price category with sound and built quality which can be usually found in much more expensive designs.

CABINET
TLIE – Taga Low Interference Enclosures are made of high-quality thick PVC coated MDF boards (15 mm full cabinet plus 21 mm front panel). Additional internal braces made of 9 mm MDF boards.
The shapes are perfectly crafted not only to look wonderful and modern but mainly to lower any unwanted vibrations, diffractions or turbulences, which can affect the sound performance.
Acoustical damping material used inside cabinets eliminates problem of internal standing waves and bass-reflex ports are uniquely designed to reduce distortions to minimum.
Solid spikes provide stability and good isolation of speaker from the floor.
HIGH-FREQUENCY DRIVER
1. Aluminum heatsink
2. Neodymium magnet
3. Additional Neodymium magnet
4. OFC voice coil
5. 2nd generation TPTTD Pure Titanium Dome
6. Trim ring support
7. Metal grill
8. TPAF front Pure Aluminum Faceplate
The revised second generation TPTTD-I (Taga Pure Titanium Tweeter Dome) uses neodymium magnet for higher efficiency and more precise and extended high-frequency response. Ferrofluid cooling and heavy duty voice coil help the tweeter to bear high power and its performance is very accurate, clear, smooth and detailed.
TPAF (Taga Pure Aluminum Faceplate) helps further dispersion of high-frequencies.
Dome metal grill assists with equal and flat dispersion of sound in and off the axis of the driver.
MIDRANGE DRIVER
1. T-YOKE / Pole piece
2. Oversized ferrite magnet
3. Top plate
4. Terminal
5. Ferrum injection-molded chassis with anti-oxidation surface process
6. Spider
7. Round wire copper voice coil
8. Yellow glass fiber cone and rubber surround
9. PP bullet shape dust cap
10. Trim ring support
11. Front pure aluminum trim ring
Rigid and ultra-light yellow glass fiber cone with the elastic rubber suspension can move very fast and frequently allowing mid-range frequencies to be very rich, spacious and sweet. Heavy duty voice coil and Φ80 magnet can stand high temperatures and power inputs. The dust cap in the form of bullet improves dispersion at higher range of mid frequencies.
Pure aluminum trim ring helps further dispersion of played frequencies.
BASS DRIVER
1. T-YOKE / Pole Piece
2. Oversized ferrite magnet
3. Top plate
4. Terminal
5. Ferrum injection-molded chassis with anti-oxidation surface process
6. Spider
7. OFC voice coil
8. Checkered Polypropylene cone
9. Polypropylene dust cap
10. Trim ring support
11. Front pure aluminum trim ring
Bass / midrange drivers utilizing polypropylene cones, big Φ90 magnet structures and heavy duty voice coils and coil formers for increased power handling, can play deep, precise and detailed bass performance.
Pure aluminum trim ring helps further dispersion of played frequencies.
BASSREFLEX
BOM Bassreflex Omnidirectional Module - low-turbulence and high-velocity ports utilizing concave diffusers for increased dispersion of low frequencies. Ports are rubber coated for more luxurious look and to provide even better effect on a sound performance.
CROSSOVER
High quality, close-tolerance and precisely selected crossovers’ components and internal wires for absolute sound neutrality, high long-term power and reliability.
INTERNAL WIRING
TAGA Harmony utilizes high purity oxygen free copper OFC for internal wiring connecting crossovers with drivers assuring that incoming audio signals from receiver or amplifier will not lose any important details on the paths to drivers.
BINDING POSTS
High quality, gold-platted banana binding posts accepting raw speaker cables up to 10AWG and most popular types of connectors.
High-end banana binding posts allowing bi-wiring for wider dispersions and spaciousness, higher sonic accuracy and more precise location. The terminal box is rubber coated for more luxurious look.
